South West Army Cadets Win National Tug-of-War Competition

The South West Region’s Army Cadets pulled their way to a convincing win at the National ACF Tug-of-War competition held in York on Saturday 5 July.

The Victorious South West Army Cadets proudly display their trophies with their coaching staff and the 2 loaned Somerset pullers.

Led by Major Alec Masson & SMI Steve Smith from Gloucestershire and Lt Tim Tatler from Somerset, the SW ACF Team was consisted of 8 Som & 8 Glos boys and 6 Glos & 2 Som girls.  Somerset also ‘loaned’ 2 Cadets from Wells to the North East Region so that they had enough pullers to compete.

The final results were:
