Wessex RFCA’s Rachael Brannagan is to take on the challenge of a sponsored Himalayan trek in September this year, in order to raise funds for the Royal British Legion. It’s a cause which is close to Rachael’s heart.
Rachael’s challenge will include trekking over six days in remote parts of the Himalayas, tackling six peaks at high altitude and sleeping outside in temperatures as low as minus five with no access to creature comforts.
The challenge is huge but Rachael says “trust me when I say I WILL complete it.”
Rachael’s inspiration for the challenge is her hero, dad Robert Steven ‘Luigi’ Williams, who died aged 35 due to his service in the Royal Navy.
