Deputy Colonel Cadets (CCF) – HQ South West

Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Colonel Cadets (CCF) based within Headquarters South West.

The post of Deputy Colonel Cadets (CCF) is a voluntary appointment and is rank ranged Major to Lieutenant Colonel (or other Service equivalent) and is entitled to claim the related Volunteer Allowance in accordance with current regulations.

In addition, payment for residence to place of duty and motor mileage allowances may also be claimed when on official CCF duty.

Applicants for this appointment must hold or have held a Land Forces Commission (Regular or Reserve) or Cadet Force Commission (CCF (Army) or ATC, ACF or RN (CCF)), preferably in the rank of Major or above (or other Service equivalent) and ideally be under 57 years of age.

Whilst this position is not intended to be a promotion earning appointment, in extremis a volunteer holding the rank of Captain may apply and, if successful, be awarded acting Major.

The appointment is for a term of three years, with a possible further extension of two years. This post is a ‘Regulated Position’ requiring a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Enhanced Disclosure Certificate to be produced prior to appointment.
