Devon Cadets pass Air Cadet’s toughest leadership course

12.06.2019

Congratulations to Cadet Flight Sergeant Matt Bagnall of 299 (Exmouth) Squadron and Cadet Sergeant Ross Pratt from 421 (Totnes) Squadron, who have both successfully completed the Air Cadets Junior Leaders Course.

The Junior Leaders Course is not for the faint hearted. The course iss physically demanding and requires real commitment and determination.

The course, which runs from September to Easter, involves nine weekend training camps and an assessment week. The Junior Leaders Course is aimed at older cadets, 17 or older in the year you begin the course.

Completion of the course leads to the award of a Level Two Certificate in Team Leadership from the Institute of Leadership and Management. This is the toughest but most rewarding of leadership courses, make it through and a cadet will have the makings of a very successful leader.

The challenge of teamwork and leadership is the ultimate test for a cadet and could be the greatest achievement of time spent time with the Air Cadets.

Well done to the two cadets from Devon & Somerset Wing who successfully passed this very challenging course.
