Perfect weather for Dorset Army Cadet parachutists

On the 5th and 6th May a group of eight senior cadets from Dorset ACF were to be found at the Joint Service Parachute Centre at Netheravon undertaking a one-jump parachute course.  The training went so well, and the weather was so perfect, that they were able to make their first exit late on Saturday afternoon, earning their ACF parachute badges.

They appeared to have enjoyed it so much that they volunteered to do a second jump the following morning! The cadets were: Cadet RSM Elise Gill and CSjt Alisha Anning (Shaftesbury), CSM Cameron Bamber and Sjt Lily Tointon (Poole), Sgt Nat Cranham (Wimborne), Cpls Harrison Foot and Patrick Amey (Blandford), and Cpl Elwood Wheeler (Beaminster).

Also taking part in the jump was PI Rhys Whitter, who cannot seem to stop collecting ACF badges!  In particular, massive thanks must go to the two officers who carried out the difficult task of looking after the paperwork and administering the course, Captains Lisa House and Jerry Stockford.  And finally, a big Happy Birthday and farewell to Alisha who turns 18 next weekend and leaves the ACF – Please keep in touch with the ACF!
