RAF Reservists play a vital role in supporting the Royal Air Force’s missions in the UK and overseas. They train and serve alongside Regular personnel, often deploying on operations and humanitarian missions worldwide. Reservists are trained to the same high standards as their full-time counterparts and provide essential support across a wide range of specialist roles.

In the Wessex RFCA region, RAF Reserves are represented by units such as 505 (Wessex) Squadron, based at  RAF St Mawgan, as well as other RAF Reserve units that may draw personnel from across the region.

Reservists balance service with their civilian careers, gaining valuable transferable skills, leadership experience, and adventure training opportunities.
