Vacancy for Deputy Colonel Cadets (Training) - HQ South West

Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Colonel Cadets (Training) HQ South West, based at Tidworth. The post will become available in March 2018. 

The post of Deputy Colonel Cadets is a voluntary appointment however the successful applicant will receive an allowance equivalent to the paid rank of Lieutenant Colonel up to a maximum of 28 days per annum under the Volunteer Allowance scheme. 

All candidates must have served as a CCF (A) or ACF Officer in a planning, management or training role; in the rank of Major, either with CCF Contingent Commander or ACF Company Commander experience.

It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Code of Practice that this position requires an ‘Enhanced Disclosure’ prior to appointment.

Vacancy for Commandant - Devon Army Cadet Force

Applications are invited for the position of Commandant Devon Army Cadet Force, based at Exeter. The post will become available in March 2018. 

The post of Cadet Commandant is a voluntary appointment however the successful applicant will receive an allowance equivalent to the paid rank of Lieutenant Colonel up to a maximum of 28 days per annum under the Volunteer Allowance scheme, with the unpaid acting rank of Colonel, if qualified. 

All candidates must hold, (or have previously held), a Land Forces commission. The initial appointment is for 3 years; with an option to extend for a further 2 years. Therefore all candidates should be under the age of 62: or ideally 60.

It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Code of Practice that this position requires an ‘Enhanced Disclosure’ prior to appointment.
