Vacancy - Cadet Quartermaster - Devon Army Cadets

A vacancy has arisen for a Cadet Quartermaster for the County of Devon Army Cadet Force.   This is a full time post based at Exeter and the post holder is expected to reside within daily travelling distance. 

Previous commissioned service with the Regular or Reserve Forces would be advantageous.   A driving licence (preferably HGV) is a condition of employment. 

Normal Quartermaster duties apply and cover full responsibility for all Stores Accounting, Supply and Maintenance, MT control, and Health and Safety.  Candidates should be Computer Literate (possessing a good working knowledge of MS-Office applications or knowledge/experience equivalent to European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) qualification).

The salary is £28,040 per annum, which includes an addition for working unsocial and in excess of standard hours.

Annual leave, excluding public holidays, is 25 days per annum rising to 30 days after 5 years service.   Previous service in the public sector will count towards qualifying years’ service.

There is a Pension Scheme, which is open to personnel aged between 18 and 56.

Project Officer (Estates) - Wessex RFCA

Wessex Reserve Forces and Cadets Association provides and maintains accommodation for the Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ throughout the South West. A vacancy has arisen for a Project Officer (Estates) within the Association’s Estates Department based at Taunton.

The successful candidate will have a qualification relevant to Construction Project Management and experience managing construction projects. The position involves the planning and coordination of projects for new builds, refurbishment, minor new works and other building requirements.

The salary is £30,797 per annum.

Annual leave, excluding public holidays, is 25 days per annum rising to 30 days after 5 years service.  

Previous service in the public sector will count towards qualifying service.

Cadet Administrative Assistant - Bristol Army Cadet Force

A vacancy has arisen for a Cadet Administrative Assistant for the City and County of Bristol Army Cadet Force based in Keynsham.  

Applicants should preferably have served as a Warrant Officer or Senior Non Commissioned Officer in the Armed Forces.  

The appointment calls for:

  1. A good knowledge of G1 and G4 duties and procedures.
  2. The ability to handle routine correspondence.
  3. A current driving licence (preferably LGV).
  4. Computer Literate (possessing a good working knowledge of MS-Office applications or knowledge/experience equivalent to European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) qualification).

The salary (all hours worked) is £22,532 per annum.    

Annual leave, excluding public holidays, is 25 days per annum rising to 30 days after 5 years service.   Previous service in the public sector will count towards qualifying years’ service.
