Deputy Commandant Somerset Army Cadet Force

Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Commandant, Somerset Army Cadet Force, based at Taunton. The post will become available in May 2018.

The posts of Cadet Deputy Commandants are voluntary appointments however the successful applicants will receive an allowance equivalent to the paid rank of Lieutenant Colonel up to a maximum of 28 days per annum under the Volunteer Allowance scheme.

All candidates must hold, (or have previously held), a Land Forces commission. The initial appointments are for 3 years; with an option to extend for a further 2 years. Therefore all candidates should be under the age of 62: or ideally 60.

It is a requirement under the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Code of Practice that this position requires an ‘Enhanced Disclosure’ prior to appointment.
