Bristol Army Cadets attend the King’s Coronation

15.05.2023

Ten lucky cadets and adult volunteers from The City and County Of Bristol Army Cadet Force were picked to witness the coronation of King Charles III on May 6th, 2023.

Out of 83,000 Army Cadets and Cadet Force Adult Volunteers across the UK, these cadets were chosen to represent the Army Cadet Force at the event and see it up close.

The Army Cadets were given the immense privilege of participating in the event of a lifetime. They marched from Horse Guards to Parliament Square, leading the banners of the six cadet forces and the Royal British Legion.

They watched King Charles III’s arrival to, and departure from, Westminster Abbey and saw his entrance onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace, and the fly-past.

The Army Cadets is an inclusive organisation that offers a vast range of opportunities to cadets aged 12-18, from military skills like drill, fieldcraft, and shooting to adventurous training, sports, first aid, community engagement, and leadership training.

Join as a cadet or volunteer and experience the adventure of a lifetime! Visit the Army Cadets website for more information. http://ow.ly/hW0O50OnOoB
